Eligibility Criteria for India Post Staff Car Driver Job Vacancy

The age limit ranges from 18 to 27 years old (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 40 years for Government officials as per the instructions or directives issued by the Central Government), with the exception of Ex-Servicemen, whose age is reduced by a maximum of 3 years (8 [3+5] years for Ex-Serviceman belonging to SC/ST, and 6 [3+3] years for Ex-Serviceman belonging to OBC).
The position reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) will be filled by a candidate from any category. Then, the position will be adjusted horizontally against the candidate’s own category (UR, SC, ST, or OBC, depending on the situation). This means that the Ex-Serviceman position is one of the 19 open Driver positions.
For SC/ST/OBC/ESM relaxations, the caste certificate submitted in the right format for a job with the Government of India will be taken into account.

Educational & Other Qualifications

Valid driving license for light and heavy motor vehicles is required.
Ability to Understand Motor Mechanism (candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle)
At least 3 years of experience is required for driving light and heavy motor vehicles.
Successful Completion of the 10th standard with a passing grade from an accredited Board or Institute.

Desirable Qualifications for Post Office Job Vacancy

3 years as a member of the Home Guard or the Civil Volunteers.

A driving Licence and Experience Certificate are required
OBC Certificate issued by the appropriate authority in the required format for employment at Government of India positions (if any)

Photo Id Proof
Form of the certificate provided by members of other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) who are applying for employment with the Indian government.
Two copies of current, passport-size photos that the candidate has self-attested. The first one should be pasted into the application form, and the second one should be attached.

Selection Process

The selection of the driver will be based on the results of the driving test, which will evaluate the candidate’s ability to operate both light and large motor vehicles, as well as their knowledge of motor mechanisms and their capacity to repair minor vehicle flaws.
Dates and places of the tests, as well as the tests’ formats and syllabuses, will be sent to the eligible candidates.
