Introduction

Sexual health, drugs, and tuberculosis are all major problems in our country. TB is a disease that is widespread in India, where approximately one-third of the world’s cases of TB occur.

The government is trying to help people with these problems by conducting a pledge, in order to create awareness among our society about Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan and also provide free certificates and treatment.

In order to address the issues of sexual health and tuberculosis, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched the Pledge. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has partnered with UNICEF, WHO, and other NGOs to provide free services for all Indians. This includes TB patients who are diagnosed with HIV or AIDS.

This project aims to improve the lives of people in India by providing them with a safe environment where they can freely access medical care without any financial burden.

Introduction To Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan

Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan is a new initiative by the government of India to curb drug abuse in society and make India an addiction-free country.

The initiative has been taken up by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and will be implemented in collaboration with various state governments and other stakeholders.

The initiative will focus on the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of drug addicts. It will also create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and will provide support to the families of drug addicts.

About Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, which is the Nodal Ministry for Drug Demand Reduction, has developed and will start Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) on August 15, 2020, in 272 districts across 32 states/union territories selected as the most susceptible in terms of drug usage in the country. Based on the results of the Comprehensive National Survey and information from the Narcotics Control Bureau, these districts were found to be at risk (NCB).

TB Surveillance:

Surveillance and regular reporting are the keys to controlling outbreaks and seeing our way to ending TB. The goal is to have active surveillance at every district level so we can detect outbreaks early.

The government is committed to ending TB by 2025. The key to success is surveillance and regular reporting.

India has pledged to end TB by 2025, a goal that can only be achieved with surveillance and regular reporting.

Treatment for Drug-Resistant TB:

Drug-resistant TB is a major public health problem globally.

The government of India has pledged to eliminate TB by 2025. In order to do so, the government has launched a strategic plan called “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” or the “TB-free India campaign”.

Under this initiative, the government provides free government pledge certificates for drug-resistant TB and also offers financial assistance to those who can’t afford it.

In order to understand the extent of this problem, India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released statistics about the number of TB patients in each state.

In 2017, Punjab had the highest number of new TB patients at 2,400.
